家具展示間的地下室裡，憑空多出一道門。門後是貼著黃色壁紙的房間與日光燈嗡嗡作響的走廊，一路延伸看不到出口，走進去的人再也找不到回頭的路。把這個源自網路怪談的空間以YouTube連載打造出來的凱恩·帕森斯親自執導，這是他的長片處女作，由A24發行。
凱特和巴比下班後回去的那排低矮平房旅館，也就是京士威道上的2400汽車旅館，現在仍照常營業。反倒是全片核心的黃色房間去不了：美術指導丹尼·韋爾梅特把它搭在四座攝影棚裡，三萬多平方英尺的壁紙與地毯，殺青後就拆掉了。所以《後室》的朝聖，走的是門這一側的世界。2400汽車旅館與片中充當克拉克家具行的高貴林街邊店面，同在大溫哥華地區，一天就能走完。溫哥華市打算在旅館這塊地上蓋四棟出租住宅大樓，旅館終究會拆，想住一晚就沒有理由再拖。

The 2400 Motel at 2400 Kingsway in Vancouver stands in as the home of Kat and Bobby, the two young staff at Clark's furniture store. It is a row of single-storey bungalows under low roofs, a shape that reads as slightly off on screen. Vancouver productions have used it for years, among them The X-Files, Smallville and Yellowjackets, and it still takes overnight bookings. The grounds belong to guests, so shoot from the sidewalk unless you are staying. The City of Vancouver bought the property in 1989 and plans four rental towers on the site, so the motel will come down; as of reporting in July 2026 it keeps operating for the time being.

The showroom that plays Cap'n Clark's Ottoman Empire, the furniture store Clark runs, and the building whose basement door sets the film in motion. A location reference site and a Vancouver-area production newsletter both point to a retail unit at 15 King Edward Street in Coquitlam, though the production has never confirmed the address. The strip sits in the big-box belt along United Boulevard, between the Trans-Canada Highway and the Fraser River, and its tenants turn over often. It is ordinary roadside retail, free to walk up to. The yellow rooms behind the door are not in the building: they were built on four sound stages elsewhere in Vancouver.
