The scene of the two leads walking under one umbrella in falling snow was shot on this street. It is closed to cars and lined with Russian-style buildings, so once the sun goes down and the yellow lamps come on it looks exactly like the screen. Start from the southern end and the other two locations fall on the same route.

The green-domed cathedral and the benches on its square carry the heaviest emotional scenes. The production treated the Architecture Art Square that wraps around the cathedral as the centre of its Harbin shoot, and local broadcasters singled the cathedral out as the site of the series' best-known scene. The square is open on every side, so the dome lands in the frame from any angle.

Number 43, West Thirteenth Street, a room that old Russian emigres ran as a home-cooking restaurant. It is where the two leads meet again and where the most lived-in scenes in the series take place. It now works as a cultural complex built around a restaurant, so you can go inside.
