Despite the name it is not a gambling hall but a members club for social and cultural life, running since 1840, and its official site advertises only free public invitations to cultural events, with no standing visiting hours or regular guided tours confirmed. The facade seen from the square is what a visitor gets, and the square itself is a short walk from the port passenger terminal.
