The level crossing outside the fictional Hugye Station, where the neighborhood keeps crossing paths. It is one of the few street-level crossings left in central Seoul, and the metal bell that used to be struck as a train approached is why locals have long called it Ttaengttaeng-geori. The Seoul Tourism Organization lists it as a main location for the drama and gives the address as 23-15 Hangang-daero 7-gil, Yongsan-gu. Trains still run through, so when the warning sounds, step back behind the barrier first.

A pork-skin grill house on Ichon-ro in Yongsan. Kkeopdegi is pig skin cooked on the tabletop plate, about the cheapest thing you can order alongside a drink. This is the table where Dong-hoon's brothers sit around ribbing him about Ji-an, and the Seoul Tourism Organization lists it as a location too. It sits in the same Yongsan pocket as the crossing, so the two go together.

A hillside park where the Hanyangdoseong fortress wall follows the ridge and the lights of the city spread out underneath it. The second observation plaza here is where Ji-an takes her grandmother to look at the moon. Most people walk up the slope from the Hyehwa Station side, and the view that matches the show only exists after dark.

The temple Gyeom-deok shaves his head to enter, and the wooden veranda where Dong-hoon comes to sit beside him, is the front of this hall, Daeungbojeon. Jeongsusa sits on the slopes of Manisan in Ganghwa, up 108 steps from the parking lot. The flower-lattice doors set into the front of the hall are what most visitors end up staring at longest, and they are the doors glowing behind the two of them on screen. It draws far fewer people than Jeondeungsa or Bomunsa, so it stays quiet.
