The Joseon-dynasty palace whose Chwiseondang inspired Hyangseondang, where the villainess Kang Dan-sim resides. Her recurring early-episode image — seated on the wooden floor in a blue hanbok — draws on this setting, and the route through Injeongjeon and the Buyongji pond in the rear garden carries the period's atmosphere. The palace, laid out in harmony with its terrain, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The dense cluster of hanok where Kang Dan-sim's Joseon-era flashbacks were filmed. Perched on a ridge between Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung, it was once home to royals and high officials, so its overlapping tiled rooflines match the emotional register of the flashback scenes. The uphill lane around Gahoe-dong 31 is the signature photo spot, looking out over central Seoul.
