Set in the Korean entertainment world of the 1960s to 1980s, a time when savagery and glamour lived side by side, this is the story of people who had nothing and threw their whole selves at the dream of success. Writer Noh Hee-kyung and director Lee Yoon-jung reunite, with Song Hye-kyo and Gong Yoo as two figures who live through that era.

To capture the backstage of that era's entertainment scene, the production took over a shuttered school - the former Hongseong Girls' High School in Chungnam - and rebuilt it whole into a 1960s-to-80s set. Walk its yard and worn classrooms, and you tread the very texture of the age in which the characters raced toward their dreams.
