The five-day market that became the heart of the drama's fictional town of Gongjin. The market alleys with their grocery, eatery and hardware shops (where so much of village life unfolds) remain intact, with markets held on the 1st and 6th of each month.

An anchor-shaped observation deck stretching out over the sea, used as a backdrop for the drama's lyrical coastal scenes. It is also a celebrated sunrise and sunset spot on Pohang's northern coast.

청진3리어민복지회관 경상북도 포항시 북구 청하면 해안로 1884-2

The building that plays Yoon Hye-jin's dental clinic in Gongjin, converted from a fishermen's welfare center on the shore of Cheongjin Port. The second-floor treatment room, with the East Sea filling the window behind it, became one of the drama's signature frames. It now operates as a restaurant that kept the shooting-era interior and the 'Yoon Dental' sign, so visitors can still sit by that same window.

청진2리 방파제 경상북도 포항시 북구 청하면 청진리

The red lighthouse breakwater where Hong Du-sik pulls producer Ji Seong-hyun out of the water, the moment the two men first cross paths. The lighthouse at the end of the pier and the open water off Cheongjin look much as they do on screen, so the drama's framing is easy to find. It sits a few minutes on foot from the Yoon Dental set in Cheongjin 3-ri, which makes the two stops a natural pair.

월포해수욕장 경상북도 포항시 북구 청하면 해안로2308번길 72

The 'Gongjin beach' where a surfing Hong Du-sik and a shoeless Yoon Hye-jin first run into each other in episode 1. Du-sik's surfing scenes were shot here repeatedly, and the wide sand and easy waves still read much as they do on screen. The beach is part of the Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha filming-location city tour course run by the city of Pohang.

양포항 경상북도 포항시 남구 장기면 양포리

The harbor that appears as 'Gongjin Port' in the drama. Hong Du-sik presides over the seafood auction here, Hye-jin takes a day job cleaning squid alongside the village grandmothers, and the quay where Hong steps off a boat in episode 1 is the same jetty. It remains a working fishing port, so it is best to keep clear of the loading areas while walking the breakwater.

석병1리 마을회관 경상북도 포항시 남구 구룡포읍 일출로 207

The village hall where the residents of Gongjin gather for meetings and wash bedding out in the yard. The lanes fanning out from the hall are the real face of the drama's Gongjin village, and the hall anchors the Seokbyeong-ri area of Guryongpo that Pohang lists among its official filming sites. People still live here, so it is a place to walk through quietly.

곤륜산 전망대 경상북도 포항시 북구 흥해읍 칠포리 914-2

The hilltop viewpoint where Hong Du-sik and Ji Seong-hyun sit side by side, looking out at the sea while they talk. A short climb from the parking area brings you to an open ridge with nothing blocking the view, taking in Chilpo Beach and the East Sea coastline in one sweep.
