The temple where Ae-sun is pulled along by her mother-in-law to perform three thousand bows, punishment for not bearing a son, sits at the foot of this crater. Seongsan Ilchulbong, a UNESCO World Heritage site, returns again and again as the drama's Jeju backdrop, and the Jeju Tourism Organization named it one of four main filming landscapes it would mark with trail routes and signage after the run ended. The climb to the summit is mostly stairs, and the ridge opens onto the sea off Seongsan and the outline of Udo island.

오라동 메밀꽃밭 제주특별자치도 제주시 오라2동 산76

This is the field of white buckwheat blossoms where a young Geum-myeong walks beside her mother Ae-sun. The same field appears in a scene of Ae-sun and Gwan-sik strolling together and in the pre-release teaser, and the Jeju Tourism Organization has said it will tie the field together with the Jeju-mok Government Office, Seongsan Ilchulbong and Gimnyeong Beach as one drama trail. The widest view comes from the paths along the edge, with the oreum ridges below Hallasan rising behind the blossoms, and since these are working plots it is better not to step between the rows.

The green barley field where Ae-sun and Gwan-sik share their first kiss and finally admit what they feel. Many viewers remember the scene as a Jeju canola field, but it was shot at Hakwon Farm in Gochang, North Jeolla, where the county set up a photo spot at the filming site during the green barley festival. Barley and canola cover the slopes in spring, buckwheat and sunflowers in autumn, so the colour of the whole hill turns over with the season.

청심국제해양청소년수련원 전라남도 여수시 화양면 장수로 183-5

The very first scene of episode 1 was filmed here. The lawn where the residents of a care home think back on Ae-sun is this center's grass plaza, and the shoot took place in the spring of 2024. It sits on a hill above Jangdeung Beach, so every room looks out on the sea, and because it runs as a youth training facility, access can be limited by the event calendar and is worth checking before a visit.

광주극장 광주광역시 동구 충장로46번길 10

In the drama this is Cannes Theater, where Geum-myeong works the ticket window and Park Chung-seop paints the film signboards. The reunion between Geum-myeong and Park Yeong-beom, back from studying abroad, and the scene of Chung-seop's mother weeping through Cinema Paradiso in the auditorium were also shot here. Opened in 1935, it is the oldest single-screen cinema in Korea and still programmes arthouse and independent films, so timing a walk through the Chungjang-ro alleys to a screening is the way to see the old auditorium from the inside.

This is the church where Geum-myeong's wedding takes place in Act 4. Built in 1895, it is one of the earliest churches in North Gyeongsang Province, and its red brick Romanesque body survives intact, matching the era the drama travels through. It remains an active parish, so the interior can be closed during services, and most visitors end up framing the yard and the brick facade instead.

전남대학교 광주광역시 북구 용봉로 77

This campus stands in for Seoul National University, where Geum-myeong studies. The front of Humanities Building 1, called Inben by students, is where she waves to her friends as she climbs into a car on her way to a tutoring job, and the campus bus stop where Gwan-sik sits until the sun goes down waiting for his daughter is beside the College of Pharmacy. The two spots are a short walk apart, so entering from the main gate on Yongbong-ro and taking them in order works well.
