The best vantage point for viewing the bridge as it appears on screen is from the pedestrian and cycling path on the west side of the span, which offers unobstructed sightlines toward the downtown skyline to the north and False Creek below. Early morning visits, roughly between 7 and 9 a.m., provide softer light and lower foot traffic than midday hours. The bridge is open to pedestrians and cyclists at no cost and is accessible from the Vanier Park side to the south or the Burrard Street approach to the north. Combining a visit with nearby Vanier Park or the Kitsilano Beach area to the southwest adds context to the False Creek waterfront setting visible from the span. Cyclists can access the dedicated lane from the Seaside Greenway, which runs along the waterfront. Street parking is limited near both bridge approaches, so transit via the 2 or 22 bus routes along Burrard Street is a practical option.
