Moon Gang-tae, a caregiver on a psychiatric ward, has spent his adult life moving from town to town so that his older brother, who is on the autism spectrum, is never left on his own. Into that life walks Ko Moon-young, a children's author whose books hold young readers in a tight grip although she was never taught to feel much of anything herself. When the brothers land at the hospital she keeps turning up in, the three are made to look at what each of them buried, and a bond that starts in mutual damage slowly bends toward repair.
Ayajin Beach does not belong to this drama alone. When Goseong County announced its filming-location tourism plan in April 2026, it listed Ayajin as a location for both It's Okay to Not Be Okay and Lovely Runner, so the red lighthouse and the bus stop draw two sets of visitors at once. Only two stops here are confirmed, the beach and Secret Blue, and both sit on Ayajinhaebyeon-gil, close enough to walk between, which makes half a day plenty. The sand is free and open at any hour, while Secret Blue, the hillside cafe that stood in for the exterior of the drama's hospital, occupies the ground floor of a pension, so check that it is serving before heading up.

The stretch of sand where Gang-tae and Moon-young walk side by side. The red lighthouse and the bus stop that recur on screen are both here. It is a public beach beside a fishing village in Toseong-myeon, Goseong County, Gangwon State, so the sand is free to enter and only the swimming season is fixed to the summer months. When Goseong County announced its filming-location tourism plan in April 2026, it introduced the same beach as a Lovely Runner location as well. The Korea Tourism Organization listing carries no mention of the drama, so navigate by the lighthouse and the bus stop rather than looking for a sign.

The exterior of the drama's psychiatric hospital was shot here. The hilltop hospital looking down on the sea, the wide garden and the cafeteria scenes all come from this address. In reality it is a pension where every room faces the water, and the cafe used in filming occupies its ground floor. The business states on its own website that it was a location for the series, which makes the claim easy to source. A cafe with a similar name also turns up on maps, so the one to head for is the pension at 167 Ayajinhaebyeon-gil. Since the cafe belongs to a lodging, it is worth calling the number listed on that site to confirm it is open before making the drive.
