After the final stage at Bayanbulak, Zhang Chi is brought in as head coach and enters a new event, the Asia Muchen 100km Rally. Sun Yuqiang and Ji Xing line up beside him again, drivers such as Lin Zhendong sign on, and a new rally team takes shape. The closer the start gets, the clearer it becomes that the real opposition sits off the track rather than on it. Han Han directs and Shen Teng returns as Zhang Chi. The film opened in China on February 17, 2026 and topped the Lunar New Year holiday box office, taking 2.927 billion yuan by a February 24 count, the only title of that period to pass 2 billion.
This film was not the first to put Wuxu Lake on screen. When the 2020 wuxia series Legend of Fei aired, a Sichuan outlet noted that its crew had gone up to this lake above 3,700 metres in Jiulong County. What changed is what came afterwards. Once the film opened, the county planted comparison boards at each filming point showing the shot beside the real view, opened Feichi service stations in the county town and at the main scenic areas for route advice and gear rental, and laid out three self-drive routes including a Feichi track line. As of April 28, 2026 the whole run was through. Ordered by altitude the stops read Wuxu Lake at 3,760 metres, the Wanba cloud-sea ridge at 4,000 and the Jichoushan viewpoint at 4,750, and the Yunshang Tianxiang tea gardens at Kuiduo, tied into the same route, take visitors out to pick and roast leaf. The provincial press that published the route also told novice drivers to stay away, called parts of it off-road, and advised an SUV and bottled oxygen. It is not a run to force through in a sedan.

The forest road chase and the lakeside breather were shot here. Wuxu Lake sits in the north of Jiulong County, 25 kilometres from the county town, at 3,760 metres. County government material gives the scenic area as 400 square kilometres and the lake as 1,200 metres long, 600 wide and 33 deep at its deepest, fed by snowmelt and groundwater. It is a national scenic and historic area as well as a national 4A rated site, nicknamed the first sea of Kham. This film was not the first crew up here, since the 2020 wuxia series Legend of Fei shot at the lake as well. China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism wrote in March 2026 that visitor numbers at Wuxu Lake had risen noticeably since the film opened. At this altitude it is worth keeping the first day short on foot.

The clifftop drift and the multi-car scrap on the main track were shot along this road. G549 links Shimian with Jiulong, and in the self-drive route the provincial press published in April 2026, this section runs 119 kilometres between 2,900 and 4,240 metres. The alignment hugs the mountainside and stacks switchback loops on the slopes, doubling back on either side of the Mu'erguashan tunnel. What used to be four hours of rough logging track is now a two hour drive. The same article told novice drivers to think twice, called parts of the route off-road, and advised an SUV and bottled oxygen. The county has announced landscape works on villages along the G549 corridor at Wanba, so check for roadworks before setting off.

The grassland cloud sea was shot here. China Daily wrote that from the ridge at 4,000 metres the mountain facing you is Gongga, the king of the peaks of Shu. The Wanba cloud sea is described as the largest in Garze prefecture and the hardest to catch. Wanba is a real township seat on the G549 corridor, and the county has announced landscape works on the villages along that road. Cloud seas are made by weather, so going up is no guarantee of seeing one. The ridge stands at 4,000 metres, which is reason to weigh the forecast and your own condition together.
鸡丑山贡嘎南坡观景台 中国四川省甘孜藏族自治州九龙县
The viewpoint used for the mountainside run above the cloud sea and for the shots facing the snow peaks. As its name says, it looks straight at the south slope of Gongga, and the platform is reported at about 4,750 metres. The film's chief producer said the Jichoushan location was above 4,500 metres, so treat 4,500 as the floor rather than the figure. It also comes last on the provincial self-drive route, which makes it the highest point of the day. The county has packaged it as an off-road driving stop and rents gear from its Feichi service stations. At 4,700 metres, slowing your pace is most of the trick, so do not step out of the car and start moving fast.
