Emma and Charlie met in a Boston cafe and have been together two years, and their wedding is a week away. Over dinner with the friends standing up for them, a drinking game invites everyone to confess the worst thing they have ever done, and Emma's answer stops the table cold. Kristoffer Borgli wrote and directed, Ari Aster's Square Peg produced, and A24 released the film. It opened in the United States on April 3, 2026 and took 132.4 million dollars worldwide, the fifth A24 title to pass 100 million. Korean theaters get it five months later, on September 9, 2026.
The locations split three ways, between Back Bay in Boston, one stretch of Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, and Andover, 25 miles north. Tatte in Back Bay sits between Copley on the Green Line and Back Bay on the Orange Line, a few minutes on foot from either. The three Cambridge stops all hang off the Red Line. The Dance Complex and the Seven Stars bookstore are walkable from Central Square, and Andy's Diner, where the last scene was shot, is two stops up at Porter. That much fits into half a day. The Addison Gallery in Andover is worth its own trip, reached by Haverhill Line commuter train from North Station. It closes Mondays, was shut from August 1 to September 8, 2026, and reopens on September 9, the same day the film opens in Korea. Admission is free.

The cafe where Charlie fumbles his way into talking to Emma and their two years begin. Conde Nast Traveler places the meet-cute at the Tatte at the foot of the John Hancock Tower. Tatte runs several branches around Boston, so the name alone will land you in the wrong room, the one on screen is the shop at 200 Clarendon Street, in the base of the glass tower. It stands between Back Bay and Copley stations, a few minutes on foot from either.
Addison Gallery of American Art 3 Chapel Avenue Andover MA 01810
This stands in for the Cambridge museum where Charlie works. It is not in Cambridge at all but in Andover, north of Boston, on the campus of Phillips Academy, a museum devoted to American art. Admission is free and no booking is taken. Hours run Tuesday to Saturday from 10 in the morning to 5 in the afternoon, and Sunday from 1 to 5, with Mondays closed. It was shut from August 1 to September 8, 2026 and reopens on September 9, which is the Korean release date. The Haverhill Line commuter train from North Station reaches Andover station.
Seven Stars 731 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge MA 02139
The bookstore where the two wrestle with what to put in their wedding vows. Seven Stars sits at 731 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, a small shop in the row of storefronts that runs from Central Square toward Harvard, and it is still trading. The Dance Complex is further down the same street, so the two pair naturally. Go in as a customer and buy something, there is no dressed set left to photograph.

The scene where the wedding dance gets worked out was shot here. The Dance Complex is a nonprofit dance center in an old hall building in the middle of Central Square, with studios spread across its floors and a schedule built from classes and rentals. It is open to the public, but which floors are open when depends on what is booked that day, so check the timetable on its site before setting out. Central station on the Red Line comes out on the same block, and walking north up Massachusetts Avenue leads to Seven Stars.
Andy's Diner 2030 Massachusetts Avenue Cambridge MA 02140
The diner from the film's closing scene. Conde Nast Traveler and Elle Decor confirm a diner in Cambridge and go no further, neither names a street number. Andy's Diner in Porter Square is the shop Cambridge Day wrote up in 2018 as a sixty-year neighborhood fixture, and it is still open. It is an independent, not a chain, so check the hours posted on its own site before going. It is a short walk along Massachusetts Avenue from Porter on the Red Line, two stops up from the pair in Central Square.
