Man-su has put twenty-five years into a paper mill and reckons his life with his wife Mi-ri, two children and the family dogs is about as good as it gets. Then the company lets him go. He swears he will be back at work inside three months, but the interviews run past a year and the house he worked so hard for starts slipping away. The film played in competition at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, opened the 30th Busan International Film Festival, reached Korean theatres on 24 September 2025 and won Best Film at the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards.
Of everything the production shot in South Chungcheong, the Dobido pier in Dangjin is the one place a visitor can actually stand. The KG Steel plant at Seokmun is a working mill and closed to outsiders, and the house in Asan that plays the family home is somebody's residence, so its address has never been published. Dobido was an island until the Daeho seawall reached it in 1984, which means you drive straight in. Ferries for Nanji Island leave from the pier, so check the sailing times first and the trip amounts to more than one photograph.

The Dobido pier at Nanjido-ri in Seokmun-myeon, Dangjin, South Chungcheong. The local paper Dangjin Times reported on 9 May 2025 that the film shot at the Dobido pier and the KG Steel Seokmun plant between November and December 2024, and the Hoseo University paper listed the pier among the film's main locations on 29 September 2025. Which scene was captured here has not been made public. The same pier stood in for the port of Mujin in Netflix's Squid Game, where the vans carrying the players roll onto the car ferry. It was an island until the Daeho seawall reached it in 1984, and ferries for Nanji Island now leave from here.
