A sequel that picks up twenty-eight years after the 1998 Practical Magic. The curse the Owens family has carried down the generations stirs again, and Sally and Gillian face it alongside Sally's two grown daughters. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman return as the sisters, joined by Joey King, Lee Pace and Maisie Williams. Susanne Bier directs. The film opened in Korean cinemas on 9 September 2026, and took 30 million dollars in the North American weekend ending 13 September to enter the box office at number one. The story is set on the American east coast, but the shoot never left England. It ran from 18 July to 13 September 2025, with the Owens house built from scratch at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.
The seaside town the Owens sisters live in and the village of Thornfield are both England. Hambleden and The Royal Standard of England sit in the same county, Buckinghamshire, so half a day covers both. If you are staying in London, Bishopsgate Institute and Worcester Park link up by train, though Worcester Park is a lived-in housing estate and is something you look at from the street. Only Old Wardour Castle is out in Wiltshire and wants a day of its own; English Heritage runs it on set opening hours, so check before you set off.

Hambleden Henley-on-Thames Buckinghamshire United Kingdom
Thornfield is an invented name; the street you see is Hambleden, northeast of Henley-on-Thames. The brick cottages, the church and the well on the square have been left alone for so long that productions keep coming back, 101 Dalmatians and Into the Woods among them. The scene where Kylie meets Tom plays out in the churchyard of St Mary the Virgin, in the same village.
The Royal Standard of England Forty Green Beaconsfield Buckinghamshire
The pub that plays the inn in Thornfield. It sits at Forty Green just outside Beaconsfield and bills itself as the oldest free house in England. It is still a working pub, so you go in as a customer, and Hot Fuzz and The Theory of Everything used the same building.
Old Wardour Castle Tisbury Wiltshire United Kingdom
The burned-out ruin of Lockland Manor. The castle went up in the fourteenth century and really does stand half collapsed, and it played Locksley Castle in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Turn off the A30 between Salisbury and Shaftesbury; English Heritage runs the site and you pay at the gate.
The Hamptons Sherbrooke Way Worcester Park London
Dressed as Ashbury, the seaside town the Owens sisters live in. It is a new housing development south of Wimbledon that the production turned into a coastal village for the length of the shoot. People live here, so it is not somewhere you walk into; you look at the shape of the houses and the parkland the estate is built around from the street.
Bishopsgate Institute 230 Bishopsgate London EC2M 4QH
The interior of the Ashbury town library. It is at 230 Bishopsgate, right beside Liverpool Street station, and the reading room under the stained-glass dome reaches the screen unchanged. The reading room is open to people who want somewhere quiet to work, which makes it one of the few interiors on this list you can actually stand inside.
