Sinopsis +
'Gentleman' was PSY's hotly anticipated follow-up to 'Gangnam Style,' released in April 2013. The video pairs him with Ga-in of Brown Eyed Girls as he pulls a string of cheeky pranks across Seoul, all driven by his signature 'arrogant dance.' It shattered YouTube viewing records on release and kept the global PSY craze rolling.
The staircase reading room and towering wall of books where PSY struts his stuff are real, and anyone can walk right in. Housed in Seoul's beautifully restored old City Hall, the Seoul Metropolitan Library lets you stand in the very frame from the video.

The Seoul Metropolitan Library opened in 2012 inside the former Seoul City Hall main building, a 1926 landmark whose original hall and marble staircase were carefully preserved. In the 'Gentleman' video, PSY and his dancers perform the 'arrogant dance' in front of the library's five-meter wall of books and along its tiered, stair-style reading room. It is still a free public library open to all, sitting right on Seoul Plaza across from Deoksugung Palace in the heart of downtown. Between the grand staircase and the stacked shelves, it makes an easy, atmospheric stop for anyone retracing the video's scenes.
