Shang Zhitao, newly arrived in Beijing, crosses paths with Luan Nian, a man with a gift for creative work. Bold and open-hearted, she grows steadier step by step and wears down the guard that Luan Nian keeps up. Jing Boran plays Luan Nian and Sun Qian plays Shang Zhitao. The 24-episode series went up on Youku and Netflix on the same day, 26 August 2026. Netflix counted it as the No. 2 debut on its Global Non-English TV list in the week of 24 to 30 August, with 2.4 million views and 21.5 million hours viewed, and it went on to enter the weekly top 10 in 22 markets. In South Korea it spent two weeks in Netflix's top 10 for series, placing seventh in the week of 7 to 13 September. The shoot used real locations in Beijing and Harbin.
The three Harbin locations sit close together in Daoli District, so they work as one walk. Start at the square around St Sophia Cathedral, come down to Central Street, then turn into West Thirteenth Street and you are in front of Donghechang 1917, which means you never have to double back.

The scene of the two leads walking under one umbrella in falling snow was shot on this street. It is closed to cars and lined with Russian-style buildings, so once the sun goes down and the yellow lamps come on it looks exactly like the screen. Start from the southern end and the other two locations fall on the same route.

The green-domed cathedral and the benches on its square carry the heaviest emotional scenes. The production treated the Architecture Art Square that wraps around the cathedral as the centre of its Harbin shoot, and local broadcasters singled the cathedral out as the site of the series' best-known scene. The square is open on every side, so the dome lands in the frame from any angle.

Number 43, West Thirteenth Street, a room that old Russian emigres ran as a home-cooking restaurant. It is where the two leads meet again and where the most lived-in scenes in the series take place. It now works as a cultural complex built around a restaurant, so you can go inside.
