A medical noir about Gye Su-jeong, a brilliant surgeon who never fails and never compromises. Sent to Guseo University Hospital as a contract doctor, she takes on the hospital's corrupt order with nothing but her skill in the operating room. It adapts TV Asahi's Japanese drama Doctor X, directed by Lee Jung-rim and written by Pyeon Seong-geun. Kim Ji-won plays Gye Su-jeong alongside Lee Jung-eun, Son Hyun-joo and Kim Woo-seok. It premiered on SBS as a Friday and Saturday drama on October 9, 2026, and also streams on Netflix.
The hospital exterior was shot in Yangsan in South Gyeongsang and some scenes at a restaurant in the Westin Josun Seoul, and from episode 6 the story moves to the May 18 historic sites of Gwangju. The three Gwangju stops sit on the route of city bus 518, which links the May 18th National Cemetery with the old South Jeolla Provincial Office area, so they fit into one day on foot and by bus.
