Eight years ago the youngest daughter, Gyeong-ju, disappeared on a school field trip to Gyeongju and never came home alive. On what would have been her birthday, her mother Ok-sil and her three daughters, Jang-ju, Young-ju and Dong-ju, put on matching family T-shirts and set off for the city where she vanished, in what looks like a trip to honor her memory. Behind the cheerful front lies a deadly secret: in the trunk of their van is a bound, unconscious man zipped inside a plastic bag. Directed by Kim Mi-jo and starring Lee Jung-eun, Gong Hyo-jin, Park So-dam, Lee Yeon and Byun Yo-han, the film won the audience award at the 24th Florence Korea Film Fest before its release and opens in Korean theaters on August 26, 2026.
Cheomseongdae and Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, the two stops the four women use to build their alibi, sit side by side inside the Wolseong district in central Gyeongju, so you can retrace the film's route on foot in half a day. Cheomseongdae stands in an open field that looks best in daylight, while Wolji is at its finest at dusk when the pavilions are mirrored in the water, so start with Cheomseongdae in the afternoon and end at the pond.

A real filming location the family visits to establish their alibi. Distributor Lotte Entertainment announced a stamp tour at Cheomseongdae and Wolji Pond from August 15 to 31, 2026, held together with Gyeongju City Hall. The National Treasure observatory, built in the reign of Queen Seondeok of Silla, stands alone in an open field, which makes it an easy spot for the kind of group photo the four women take in the film.

The other confirmed filming location on the family's alibi route. It is the backdrop of the second poster, where the four women in matching FAMILY T-shirts pose on the rocks at the water's edge. A detached palace of Wolseong, the Silla royal seat, it is one of Gyeongju's best known night views: once the lights come on, the Imhaejeon pavilions are reflected whole across the pond.
