The Kim family lives in a semi-basement flat with nobody in work. Elder son Ki-woo takes over a tutoring job from a university friend and steps into the mansion of Park, a tech company CEO, and one by one his sister Ki-jung, his father Ki-taek and his mother Chung-sook follow him in, all pretending to be strangers to each other. The plan runs smoothly until a night of torrential rain, when what the house has been hiding comes out and the two families swap places. Bong Joon-ho's film took the Palme d'Or at Cannes in 2019 and won four Academy Awards in 2020, including Best Picture and Best Director.
Both houses in the film are sets. The Park mansion was built at the Jeonju Cinema Complex and the Kim family semi-basement at the Goyang Aqua Studio, and both came down once shooting finished. What is left to walk is the Kim family side of Seoul, and of the four spots the city groups into one course, the shop and the stairs in Mapo sit a minute apart, while the Jahamun tunnel stairs are uphill the whole way and work better as the last stop.

The corner shop the film calls Woori Super. This is where Ki-woo drinks with his friend and inherits the tutoring job, and where Ki-jung walks out with the peaches. The sign still reads Dwaejissal Super, and the parasol and plastic chairs from the film are usually out front.

A stairway in the alley less than a minute from the shop. It turns up again and again as the climb in and out of the Kim family neighborhood, and the city's guide describes it as the spot where the family stop after coming down from the mansion through the tunnel. People live on both sides of these steps, so early morning and late night are best avoided.

The pizza shop the film rebrands as Pizza Sidae. The Kim family fold boxes for cash here, and the city's guide also places the scene where they scheme against the housekeeper in this shop. The real name on the sign is Sky Pizza and it is walkable from Noryangjin station.

On the night of the downpour, this is the run the Kim family make down the steps after slipping out of the mansion. The slope beside the tunnel really is that steep, so the drop you feel on screen is not exaggerated, and the city's guide points to the gloomy light here as the reason the scene works. Coming up from below is uphill the whole way, so start at the top and walk down.
