Han Beom-woo, heir to a food conglomerate that runs high-end restaurants across Seoul, buys small eateries outright to take their recipes, a habit that earns him the label recipe hunter. In Jeonju he meets Mo Yeon-ju, a stubborn chef working alone in a one-table restaurant with no sign over the door. A man who prices taste and a woman who lives only for it end up standing in the same kitchen. The ten-episode series aired on ENA from 12 May to 10 June 2025. Local outlets Jeonbuk Ilbo and Jeonju MBC reported that more than 80 percent of it was shot in Jeonju over 62 shooting days, and that it reached number one among Korean dramas on Netflix three days after release.
The Jeonju locations fall into one walkable day if you order them by the light. Nambu Market runs under a long covered arcade, so only the middle of the day reaches the inner aisles, while the Cheongyeonru pavilion on Namcheon Bridge and the hanok village alleys look best at dusk, when color settles on the roof tiles. Nosong Plaza in front of Jeonju City Hall is wide open with no shade, so skip it at midday in high summer. Waengi-jip serves the bean sprout soup Jeonju eats for breakfast, which makes it a first stop, and Jeonil Gabo is a shop you sit down in for beer after dark, which makes it a last one. All six sit inside the old center, close enough to walk between.

The market where the two leads shop for ingredients. Jeonju's main permanent market sits right beside Pungnammun Gate, carrying on from the open market once held outside the south gate in the late Joseon period. Produce, dried fish and butcher stalls press together along narrow aisles, and it is a few minutes on foot from the southern edge of the Jeonju Hanok Village. The aisles are roofed, so the inner rows stay dim even at noon.

The spot where the two leads walk together on their date. Cheongyeonru is a Korean-style pavilion raised in the middle of Namcheon Bridge over the Jeonju River, open on all sides so anyone crossing can step up and sit down. The bridge begins at the southeastern edge of the hanok village and lands on the Seohak-dong side. Framing the water between the pavilion columns comes closest to what the show puts on screen.

The alley used for the exterior of Jeongje, the one-table restaurant Mo Yeon-ju runs alone. Press reports place it inside the Jeonju Hanok Village, in a narrow lane near the Donghak Revolution Memorial Hall. The restaurant hangs no sign in the story, so all the screen holds is a wall and a single door, and there is no confirmed information about how the building is used now. Treat it as a wall to walk past rather than a door to knock on.

The site of the food truck cooking contest. The plaza spreads out in front of Jeonju City Hall and is simply an empty yard on days without an event. It sits in the middle of the old town, about a twenty minute walk north from the hanok village, so it slots easily into a route. The square is wide open with no shade, which makes midday in high summer the wrong hour to stand there.

The restaurant behind the bean sprout soup scene. Waengi-jip, formally Jeonju Waengi Kongnamul Gukbap, stands in Gyeongwon-dong in Wansan District and is one of the names Jeonju is known for in that single bowl. It sits in the old center, a walk northwest out of the hanok village, so it pairs naturally with Nambu Market. In Jeonju the soup is breakfast and a cure for the night before, which argues for putting it at the start of the day rather than the end.

The shop behind the gamaek scene. Gamaek, short for shop beer, is the Jeonju habit of setting a table in the corner of a corner store and serving beer with grilled dried pollack. Jeonil Gabo is the name people reach for first when they name a gamaek house in the old town. It is a place you sit down at after dark, which makes it a natural last stop on a location walk.
