At the end of the 1990s, Hong Geum-bo — a sharp securities regulator in her thirties — uses her baby face to slip into a brokerage flagged for shady money flows, posing as a fresh-faced twenty-year-old rookie. For an undercover op it goes oddly soft: she keeps growing attached to colleagues she's supposed to be watching, the corruption she's chasing turns out far bigger than briefed, and the risk of being unmasked clocks in every morning right beside her. A retro office comedy that resurrects a whole era of pagers, bankbook stamps and after-work noraebang. Park Shin-hye plays the two-faced Geum-bo, sliding between deadpan nerve and pure panic.

It's so earnest about every little 90s prop that anyone who lived through that decade keeps quietly grinning the whole way through. Because it borrows Incheon's Gaehang-ro and old back-alleys as-is, walking the locations carries the show's retro mood along with you.

01 S1

개항로통닭 인천광역시 중구 참외전로 164

The electric-rotisserie chicken joint on Incheon's Gaehang-ro that became a go-to backdrop for the show's 90s after-work drinking scenes. A flagship of the 「Gaehang-ro Project」 that revived a dying old-town district, its worn tiles, fluorescent lights and rows of golden birds turning under warm bulbs conjure the era with no extra set dressing. This is where the brokerage colleagues pile in after clocking out to share chicken and beer in raucous fashion. It's still an operating restaurant, so you can sit at the very table from the drama and order the same dish.

자하문로2길 서울특별시 종로구

The Jahamun-ro 2-gil area of Seoul's Jongno District, where the flavor of old back-alleys lingers thick. The narrow uphill lanes running toward Inwangsan, low walls and weathered shop signs hand over a 1990s neighborhood scene with barely any retouching. It served as the backdrop for Geum-bo walking back down the alley after narrowly dodging exposure, and for characters strolling side by side as they spill what's on their minds. It's an ordinary residential quarter with no single big sight, but it folds naturally into a Gyeongbokgung–Seochon walking route.

03 S1

여의도 따로국밥 서울특별시 영등포구 여의도동

An old-school ttaro-gukbap (rice-and-soup-served-separately) eatery in the heart of Yeouido, Seoul's finance district. Just as the Gyeongsang-style gukbap keeps rice and broth apart, the place captures the 1990s Yeouido lunch rhythm of busy stock-floor workers wolfing down a quick meal before sprinting back to the trading hall. It's at these cramped tables that Geum-bo and her colleagues fill up after the market closes, trading case clues as if by accident. The neighborhood runs on office regulars, so visiting off the lunch peak lets you feel the show's mood more calmly.

04 S1

의정부버스터미널 경기도 의정부시

Uijeongbu Terminal, a long-standing gateway in the northern Seoul metro area. Its ticket windows, worn waiting hall and platforms where intercity buses come and go remain well-thumbed and intact, giving off the messy, fond air peculiar to a 90s terminal. It appears as the backdrop for a character seeing someone off, or for the moment of heading out of Seoul in pursuit of the case. As a working terminal, the real flow of people and buses creates the on-screen mood for you — a good spot to sit on a bench a while and call up a scene from the show.
