Born a slave, Gudeok takes the name and rank of a dead noblewoman and lives as Ok Tae-young. She builds a reputation as an oejibu, a Joseon-era advocate who argues other people's lawsuits, but her name, her standing and even her husband are all borrowed, so every day is spent staying one step ahead of exposure. A wandering performer, Cheon Seung-hwi, stays at her side. The series ran on JTBC for 16 episodes from November 30, 2024 to January 26, 2025.
The two locations sit far apart, one on the south coast in Changwon and one inland in Danyang, so no single day covers both. Each pairs instead with whatever stands next to it. The Maritime Drama Set in Changwon sits on the shore of Gusan-myeon in Masanhappo-gu, which makes it an easy addition to a day of coastal driving, and admission costs nothing. The Ondal Drama Set in Danyang shares a fence with Ondal Cave and Ondal Fortress, so one ticket to the tourist site takes in all three. Neither set belongs to this drama alone. Changwon has hosted 76 productions since 2010, and Danyang has run from The Legend through to Queen Woo.

Changwon named this set as a filming location for the series. Built in 2010 for the drama Kim Su-ro, it spreads 25 structures across six zones on a slope facing the sea. Some 76 productions have shot here since, so it is not this drama's own set. It reopened on December 26, 2025 after a 2.5 billion won renovation and drew 130,000 visitors in the six months that followed. Admission is free. Hours run from 9am to 6pm in the warm season and close an hour earlier in winter.

An open set inside the Ondal Tourist Site in Danyang. Tournews21 named it in a February 2025 article as a filming location for this drama and for Check In Hanyang. The Legend, River Where the Moon Rises, My Dearest and Queen Woo were shot here, as was the film The Night Owl, so the backdrops range from Goguryeo to Joseon. It shares a fence with Ondal Cave and Ondal Fortress, and one ticket to the tourist site covers all three, at 6,000 won for adults, 4,500 for teenagers and 3,500 for children and seniors. From March through November the gate opens at 9am and closes at 6pm, with ticket sales ending at 5pm, and from December through February each of those shifts an hour earlier. When the river runs high the site closes to visitors for two or three days. In March 2026 the Korea Tourism Organization picked it as North Chungcheong's only entry in a program for smaller destinations, a selection that had nothing to do with the drama.
