After watching his parents die, Bruce Wayne drifts across the world until a secret order in the Himalayas teaches him to master his body and his fear. He returns to a Gotham where corruption is the default setting, torn between becoming a vigilante and becoming a symbol, and chooses the bat.
The Himalayan ice fields are in fact Svínafellsjökull in Iceland. Book a glacier hike from the Skaftafell visitor centre and you can walk the same surface where Bruce crossed swords. Gotham's skyline duty fell to Chicago, and the Chicago Board of Trade Building that plays Wayne Enterprises still matches the film angle for angle when you look up from Jackson Boulevard.
